Walks count
For a long time I didn't log walks as exercise. If I wasn't sweating in a gym, it didn't count.
Then I looked at a month of notes and saw that the weeks I walked every day were the weeks I also trained well, slept well and wrote more. Walking isn't the workout; it's what keeps the workouts — and the thinking — going.
So now it counts. Thirty minutes, most days, no headphones for the first ten. Some of my best ideas for client work arrive somewhere around minute twelve.
